At South Side we recognize that Jesus loves children. We provide committed adult leadership. We lay a spiritual foundation for a lifetimes of growing. We teach Bible truths through methods designed for children. We provide fellowship and fun.
SUNDAY SCHOOL 9:30 a.m. Sunday Morning Children learn of God's love for them. They learn to share, work, and play with each other through hearing stories, learning Bible verses, playing games and singing.
WORSHIP KIDSTYLE During Worship Hour We believe that it is important that children learn early to worship. They are invited to sing, share and participate in the worship service. Children are invited to come forward each Sunday for the "Children's Sermon." This is a time set aside for an object lesson or talk specifically directed to the children. Following the Children's Sermon, the children are dismissed to Kid's Zone, a fun and interactive age appropriate worship feature designed to lead them to salvation and Christian growth.
CHILDREN'S CHOIR 5:45 p.m. Wednesday Night Children's choir is a time for children to participate in learning music and musical skills, such as drama, musical insturments, and singing. Your child will learn wonderful songs while praising our Lord, and will have a chance to be participate in group programs and performances. Also at this time the Pre-K through Kindergarten will meet for Preschool Choir.
CHILDCARE During Sunday School and Worship We believe that the first five years of a persons life are important in building character, love, and a positive response to Christ and His Church. Loving Christian workers care for preschoolers, birth through kindergarten, during Sunday worship services and weeknight programs. We would invite parents of four and five year-olds to begin to integrate them into the worship service, on an occasional basis. This will enable the children to transition more easily into the corporate worship of the church and help them to understand the importance of participation as we worship God together.
